Wedding Photography Locations in Regina

Arguably, the most important pictures at a wedding are the pictures of the bridal party.  These pictures are usually taken after the ceremony, and before the reception.  Regina is full of great locations for these special photos.  Here is a quick list of places to consider:

Wascana Park - the old staple, it has great gardens, trees, and water features.  And it's enormous!

Legislative Building - A great place to take pictures, there is great dramatic architecture, and the lighting isn't too bad either.  Make sure to clear this location in advance with the front desk.

Regina Floral Conservatory - Sometimes forgotten, this little gem has been a wedding photographers staple, it's particularily good in the winter, when flower gardens are in short supply...

Waterfall Park - this little park is a great place.  The waterfall adds drama to the photos and the adjacent playground can make for some great "goofing around" pictures.

Regina's Warehouse District - these can make some EXCELLENT urban settings, your wedding pictures will be unique and powerful.

Well that's all for now, I'll maybe update this post later, but the dog needs out so I best be going!

Model Mayhem

I found a great new site online to mingle with other photographers and models in the industry.  I haven't done a lot of work with models but it is something that I'd like to get into one day.  There are actually a lot of Saskatchewan professionals on the site and I highly recommend others to visit this site:

Regina Wedding Photography on the Horizon

I'm getting excited for the wedding photography season here in good old Regina.  I've got three weddings booked in Regina and one booked in Elbow Saskatchewan so far.  Three of those weddings took advantage of my introductory pricing (sorry, it's no longer available!) and the other one I'm doing the reception for.

I'm still available for a lot of weekends this spring and summer, and I look forward to hopefully having a few more bookings.  I don't want to get too busy though, wedding photography is a lot of work, but it's sooo worth it!

Walking the Dog on the First Day of Spring

Barkley (our dog) enjoyed his first walk of Spring, it was followed by a bath in the sink because he became covered in filth.  I took the opportunity to take some random pictures but it was hard with him pulling me around!

Amy Photoshoot

Amy was getting tired of her old facebook profile picture so I took the chance to take some nice pictures of my favorite lady in the whole world...

Site Launched!

Well the site is online! It still needs some tweeking but I think it looks great so far. The whole experience has been pretty good, and it was a lot easier than I had imagined.

On another note, I finally got around to setting my spare bedroom up like a real office, instead of using the kitchen table! Atleast this way I can shut the dog out if he's getting in the way...
