Roughrider Wedding Photos??

Today I met with some new clients, Cheryl and Shane, and we discussed what they'd like their wedding photos to be like.  Cheryl wants some traditional photos, maybe at the legislative building, and Shane nodded his agreement.  I noticed that they were both wearing Rider jerseys and that there was a "rider bus" under construction outside in their backyard.  "Would you guys want any wedding photos that have a Roughrider theme?" I asked.  Shane was all of a sudden excited about his future wedding pictures, Cheryl liked the idea too, as long as "they aren't all Roughrider pictures"!

We talked a bit about it and they are looking into whether or not we can get into Taylor field or some sort of other Roughrider themed area.  I think it would be great if we could take pictures of a mock touch-football game with the wedding party.  Everyone could have jerseys on over their formal attire!

Needless to say, this isn't forsure but I think it would make for some great pictures.  I think the most important thing that you can do when planning your photoshoot with your photographer is to make sure that the photos are YOUR photos, not anyone elses.

Have a great Saskatchewan Day!

Regina Photo Booth Rental

Last Mountain Photography is now the first company in Saskatchewan to offer photo booth rentals in Regina and Saskatoon.  Photo Booths are great for weddings, grads, corporate events, and sweet 16s.

Live photo booths are the latest craze and hottest new trend among weddings, grads, and corporate events for guest entertainment. Instead of a small, cramped booth, you get a 10x10 studio set up and LIVE photographer taking professional shots from wild to mild, or serious and styled.

Our photo booth uses Hollywood-style lighting and cameras to create high-quality shots. Guests stand in front of the backdrop, strike a pose, and the moment is digitized.

With our photo booth, your guests will stay longer; have more fun and thank you for the memories to share. Check our website for prices and details!

Amber and Shane's Wedding!

Last Friday I shot the intimate ceremony of Amber and Shane. Afterwards, there was just a bit of time to take some great photos before they were off to carry on with their wedding day in Regina without me! Here are some pictures from their wedding:

Good Locations for Pictures Around Strasbourg, SK

Strasbourg is where my fiance, Amy, lives at the moment.  I'm going to be moving there once we're married in June of 2011.  It's a great little town and actually has a lot of amenities because it serves all the resort communities on Last Mountain Lake.  Just so everyone knows, I'll still be serving Regina and still won't charge mileage for Regina and area once the move is complete.

Anyways, I wanted to write a blog today about some great places around Strasbourg and the Last Mountain Valley for taking great photos:
  • Elevators of Strasbourg and other small towns
  • Farmers fields - Get permission!
  • The amazing skies
  • Observation points along Last Mountain Lake - the one 5 kilometers north of Craven for instance
  • Bulyea Corn Maze
  • Strasbourg Museum
  • Creek east of Lumsden
Hopefully these places give you some new places to shoot this summer!

Michelle and Rob's Big Day

I just got done developing all the pictures I shot at Michelle and Rob's Wedding!  It was a busy day, it seemed like there was an uncountable number of kids running around giving the bride a migraine... But it all made for good pictures.  The wedding was at the floral conservatory in Regina and the ceremony was at the Tartan Curling Club.

Congratulations Michelle and Rob Cullen!

Hello everyone,

I will be holding an upcoming contest at a local business in Strasbourg, SK(the town where my fiance lives and where I often live/visit). I don't want to spoil it but the prize is going to something that you're really gonna want to hang on your wall(think BIG).

Stay tuned!

Fun Places to Take Pictures in Regina

I'm not sure how many amateur photographers read this blog, but for those of you that do, here are some great places to take photos in Regina that are a lot of fun:
  • Wascana Park and Legislative Building - This one speaks for itself.  The grounds are fantastic, there's great views of the water, flowers, birds, and the city sky line.  It's also a great place to do wedding and engagement photos in Regina.
  • Warehouse District - It's fun to drive/walk around this area of Regina and see what kind of grungy and fun pictures that you can get.  A lot of the buidling have character and some are very old.
  • Candy Cane Park - This  is a great Regina location.  Lots of scenery, greenery, and tom-foolery.
  • Downtown - There are some neat places downtown, like Victoria Park, Hotel Saskatchewan, and the Casino just to name a few.
There are plenty more examples of fun places to go to get some great photos and have a good time doing it in Regina.  Have fun exploring Regina!

Stuck in Weyburn

I'm currently doing some foundation inspection in Weyburn.  Here's a picture of my boots that caught my eye. . . I know that it's a bit mundane but I like it:

New Pricing Adjustments

Hello everyone,

As you may have already noticed, the pricing has increased slightly from earlier in the Summer.  This is due to increasing overhead costs as well as a rapidly booked up schedule.  Just so everyone knows, if you have already made a booking at the old prices, your costs will not increase.

Have a nice day, try to stay dry out there!
