Now that the Christmas rush is over (the main reason I haven't been updating this blog this month!), I got some time to update my website. I changed a few things around and over all I'm really happy with how it looks now. I even added some coding so that it's viewable on mobile devices (which wasn't the case before).
Anyways, I'll see you all in the New Year!

Ali & Troy's Regina Engagement Photoshoot
It was unseasonably cold last weekend, so we decided to take the shoot to the University of Regina. It's a great place for an engagement shoot, I like how it's kinda like High School. Ali and Troy were a lot of fun and we came away with some great photos:

Alyssa & Tanner's Regina Wedding Photos
It was an amazingly mild fall day in Regina SK. Sure, it was windy and cold, but there wasn't snow and it wasn't -20! Alyssa and Tanner were getting married and everything was perfect. The sun wasn't shining but everything was bright. Okay, enough sappy-ness. . . Here are some of the awesome wedding photos I got of this great Regina couple:

Lindsey & Curtis's Regina Engagement Shoot
It's that time of year again, engagement shoot time! Lindsey and Curtis are actually relatives of mine (well Curtis isn't, yet!) so it was nice to work with people that I already knew well. We had some fun at the legislative building and then went and did some urbany shots downtown. Here are a handful of shots from their shoot:

Shantell & Spencer's Lumsden Engagement Shoot
I love going to different places for photoshoots (Wascana can get old, and it's always busy!). For Shantal and Spencer's engagement photoshoot, we went to Lumsden and travelled around stopping at a few different spots. They said that they are always awkward in photos, I beg to differ:

Candice & Aaron's Regina Engagement Photoshoot
Candice and Erin were a great couple to work with. We started the shoot out at Kiwanis Park, then headed over to the dog park to give their poochs a walk, and finally we went up to the family farm. It was a great time and we got some great engagement photos:

Janae & Jason's Wedding
I had an adventure before me when I drove down to Williston ND to do Janae & Jason's wedding photography. It was a bit of a drive but it was SO worth it. Not only did I get a ton of great shots, but I got to hang out with their quirky (in a good way!) family and friends. Here are some photos from their wedding:

Groupon Frequently Asked Questions 2011
First off, I can’t wait to work with you to get some great photographs! I know that there’s a good chance that I’ll be swamped with questions over the next little while so I thought that I’d put together this FAQ to answer as many as I can think of.
Above all else:
Please Contact Last Mountain Photography once you receive your Groupon even if you don’t have a booking date in mind! It is best to just send me an email instead of calling for this purpose as my phone may be jammed on the day of the deal. This will help me to iron out where I stand with the work-load of doing the upcoming Groupon Photoshoots.
Frequently Asked Questions:
1. What does the session include?
Your Session includes one hour of photography time as well as an 11” X 14” print that you pick after the fact. You can definitely order other prints or a DVD of all the files as well. The DVD is our most popular product as it lets you make your own prints whenever you'd like! Also, if you'd like an additional hour, this can be arranged for $100/hour. This is useful if you'd like a second location or more than one outfit.
2. What sorts of sessions can be booked?
You can book family sessions (up to 8 people), maternity sessions, baby sessions, engagement sessions, pet sessions, Christmas card sessions (SPECIAL: 25 free Christmas cards with purchase of DVD of files), or really any sort of session that can be done in one hour and at one location. Weddings, and other longer events cannot be used for this promotion.
3. Can I order extra prints and/or a DVD of the digital files?
Of course you can! The website, http://www.lastmountainphotography.com/ , has all of the information regarding pricing of additional prints.
4. When can the session be booked?
Sessions can be booked weekday afternoons at 3:30pm and 5:30pm, and Sundays at 9:00am, 11:00am, 1:30pm, and 3:30pm. Other times can be made available if you have a special request. Please book at least a week in advance. Times may book up fast so be prepared to be a bit flexible!
5. Where will the sessions take place?
The sessions must take place at one location. This can be at the park, at your home, or anywhere in Regina. Extra mileage will be due should the session be outside of the city of Regina. I also have a portable backdrop with white material.
6. How long is the wait for prints?
After the session, I will edit the photos and then present them to you at a consultation or online, it's up to you (editing may take up to four weeks). From that point, the turnaround for prints will be under two weeks.
7. What should be worn to a photo session?
Depending on the type of session, it is best if you wear muted colours that do not have logos or patterns. You do not need to match everyone in the group but complimentary colours that go together work best. It is also advised to look your best, do your hair, shave, apply tasteful makeup, etc.
8. Is this coupon transferrable for other services? (like weddings)
Unfortunately, this is not possible. However, I would certainly like to meet with you to discuss options.
If you have more questions, feel free to email me and call me if it's urgent.

Another great Couple - Regina Engagement Photography
I had a lot of fun with these two! It took a little encouragement, but they even went into the (gross) creek water that we found in Lakewood Park in Regina. It was an awesome engagement shoot, here are some photos from the shoot:

Kyla & Luke Regina Engagement Photography
Engagement photos are awesome to take, they allow me to work with my clients in Regina (or anywhere for that matter) in an intimate setting. We get to know one-another and build a relationship so that on the wedding day, it's old news for them to have a camera in their face.
Kyla and Luke were a great couple to work with. We started off at the legislative building and then moved onto an urban setting in Regina, followed by a park near their home. Here are some photos from the shoot:
