I've been busy lately doing all kinds of things. For instance, I just did two engagement shoots and also one shoot with a mom and her son. The family shoot was a touch on the edgy side as they wanted to be in their uniforms in a grungy location! Here are few from each:

Groupon Regina SK Frequently Asked Questions 2012
First off, I can’t wait to work with you to get some great photographs! I know that there’s a good chance that I’ll be swamped with questions over the next little while so I thought that I’d put together this FAQ to answer as many as I can think of.
Above all else:
Please Contact Last Mountain Photography once you receive your Groupon even if you don’t have a booking date in mind! It is best to just send me an email instead of calling for this purpose as my phone may be jammed on the day of the deal. This will help me to iron out where I stand with the work-load of doing the upcoming Groupon Photoshoots.
Frequently Asked Questions:
1. What does the session include?
Your Session includes one hour of photography time as well as an 11” X 14” print that you pick after the fact. You can definitely order other prints or a DVD of all the files as well. The DVD is our most popular product as it lets you make your own prints whenever you'd like! Also, if you'd like an additional hour, this can be arranged for $100/hour. This is useful if you'd like a second location or more than one outfit.
2. What sorts of sessions can be booked?
You can book family sessions (up to 8 people), maternity sessions, baby sessions, engagement sessions, etc.
Weddings, and other longer events cannot be used for this promotion.
3. Can I order extra prints and/or a DVD of the digital files?
Of course you can! The website, http://www.lastmountainphotography.com/ , has all of the information regarding pricing of additional prints.
4. When can the session be booked?
Sessions can be booked weekday afternoons at 3:30pm and 5:30pm, and Sundays at 9:00am, 11:00am, 1:30pm, and 3:30pm. Other times can be made available if you have a special request. Please book at least a week in advance. Times may book up fast so be prepared to be a bit flexible!
5. Where will the sessions take place?
The sessions must take place at one location. This can be at the park, at your home, or anywhere in Regina. Extra mileage will be due should the session be outside of the city of Regina. I also have a portable backdrop with white material.
6. How long is the wait for prints?
After the session, I will edit the photos and then present them to you at a consultation or online, it's up to you (editing may take up to four weeks). From that point, the turnaround for prints will be under two weeks.
7. What should be worn to a photo session?
Depending on the type of session, it is best if you wear muted colours that do not have logos or patterns. You do not need to match everyone in the group but complimentary colours that go together work best. It is also advised to look your best, do your hair, shave, apply tasteful makeup, etc.
8. Is this coupon transferrable for other services? (like weddings)
Unfortunately, this is not possible. However, I would certainly like to meet with you to discuss options.
If you have more questions, feel free to email me and call me if it's urgent.

Get the MOST out of your Engagement or Wedding Shoot
The road to marriage is a long and winding road. There are ups and downs, curves, bumpy sections, and smooth straight-aways. I try to make the photography part of the road a fun diversion. The photoshoots turn out best if the couple is invested in the shoot. By invested, I mean that they've given it some thought and have an idea of what sort of photos they'd like created. This doesn't mean that the burden is on them to come up with different creative shots, or decide exactly where they'd like to shoot, but the shoot generally runs much smoother if the couple has given some thought to it. And remember, the shoot is about the connection between the couple. It's not about having perfect hair, or coordinated outfits. It's about the TWO of you.
Here are some ways that you can invest in your engagement or wedding shoot that will ultimately help to make your photos that much more memorable:
Here are some ways that you can invest in your engagement or wedding shoot that will ultimately help to make your photos that much more memorable:
- Sit down with your significant other and discuss what you want to get out of the shoot. - Doesn't have to be super specific!
- Ask yourself where those kinds of shots would best be taken. (park, urban setting, at home, etc)
- Give some thought to your clothing for the day and any props that you think would be appropriate. A recent shoot that Last Mountain Photography did was a wedding photo shoot at an outdoor rink. Those sorts of things don't just happen, there was some planning on all sides.
- Phone your photographer and discuss what you'd like out of the shoot and see if he/she can offer you some ideas or steer you in the right direction. - I personally love hearing from my couples because it means that they value their photography, which ultimately makes better photos!
- During the shoot, don't worry about the small stuff. Your photographer will be there to make sure he's not photographing up your nose or any other unflattering angles. Leave that sort of stuff to him/her, it's more important that you relax and have a good time as opposed to worrying.
- Try to incorporate any little quirks/hobbies/nuances of your relationship together into the shoot. Maybe you have a certain little cutesy way of holding eachother, or kissing, etc that could be captured in a photograph? These little details speak volumes in a photo.

Kyla & Luke's Winter Regina Wedding
The winter has been very forgiving this year in Regina SK. So much so, that Kyla & Luke did some wedding photos at an OUTDOOR RINK! I love when couples want to do creative stuff! We had a lot of fun and got some great photos:

Jennifer & Kyle's Regina Wedding
It's been really warm this year in Regina SK but despite the 'warmth', Jennifer had booked to do her photos inside the Legislative Building. This was of course fine with me since the photos always turn out great in there! Have a look at some photos from this gorgeous couple:
